2019 NECO GCE Biology Practical Specimen Answers Released Here.
The Neco GCE biology practical 2019 specimen questions and answers have been outlined here. The National Examination Council (NECO) Biology Alternative to Practical work exam paper will be written on Friday 22nd November 2019.
The NECO GCE Biology practical will start by 3.30 pm and will last for 2hrs. This post highlights samples of the Specimen lists, materials, and drawings expected during the Biology Practical Examination from past questions.
NECO Biology Practical Specimen 2019:
Question 1:
(a) (i) Identify the process represented in the diagram.
(ii) Name the parts labeled III, IV, VIII, IX and X.
(iii) State one function each of the parts labeled IV and IX.

(iii) Give the reasons for your classifications in 2(a)(ii) above.

(a) (i) Identify the organism in the diagram.
(ii) Name the parts labeled I to X
(iii) State the function of the parts labeled I, II, III, IV, and VII.
(b) (i) List four observable features of the organism and state how they adapt the organism to its mode of life.
(ii) State two ways in which the organism is of economic importance.
(iii) State two ways by which the activities of the organism can be controlled.
(c) (i) State the class of the organism.
(ii) Give three reasons for placing the organism in the class named in 3(c)(i) above.
(d) State the:
(i) Habitat
(ii) Diet
(iii) Type of metamorphosis undergone by the organism.

- (a) (i) Specimen A is a flower. Remove all the stamens and three petals from specimen A leaving the special petal.
Make a drawing 10 – 12 cm long of the remaining parts of specimen A and label Fully.
(ii) What type of ovary is presented in specimen A?
(iii) Give one reason for your answer in 1 (a)(ii) above.
(iv) Describe the petals and sepals of specimen A.
(v) What is the function of the special petal?
(vi) State three features of specimen A which have led to the success of flowering plants.
(b) (i) What type of fruit is specimen B?
(ii) Give two other examples of the fruit type.
(iii) State the mode of dispersal of specimen B.
(iv) State two biological importance of the class of fruit to which specimen B belongs.
- Observe specimen C carefully and answer the following questions:
(a) (i) State the class to which specimen C belongs.
(ii) Give three reasons for placing specimen C in that class.
(iii) State two food items that specimen C feeds on.
(b) State two observable features each of specimen C which adapts it to:
(i) its mode of feeding;
(ii) Locomotion.
(c) (i) List three observable characters of specimen C which can be inherited.
(ii) If white feather color (Vl) is dominant in chickens over black feather colour (w), with the aid of genetic diagrams, show how it can be determined whether Specimen C is homozygous dominant or heterozygous dominant
