You are required to provide the following for practical examination.
To each candidate, you are to provide the following Reagents
- Solution of HCl containing 3.65g per dm³ labeled Solution A.
- Solution of calcium hydroxide containing 0.71g solute per dm labeled Solution B.
- Mixture of KCl and AICI₃ labeled C.
- Dilute HCI (2M)
- Dilute HNO₃
- Dilute ammonia (2M)
- Dilute acetic acid
- Ammonium Chloride solution (2M)
- Silver Nitrate solution
- Sodium cobalt nitrite solution
- Distilled water
- Methyl orange indicator.
You are to provide the following apparatus and materials for each candidate:
- 25 cm³ pipette
- Burette
- Retort stand and clamp
- White tile
- Conical flasks (2 per candidate)
- Beakers (2 per candidate)
- Filter paper
- Test tubes at least 4 per candidate
- Spatula
- Bunsen burner
NOTE: All candidates should be reminded to come to the examination venue with laboratory coats.
