The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has launched its Digital Certificate Platform (DigiCert) in one of the recent WAEC news reports as announced by the Acting Head, Public Affairs of the Examination Body, Moyosola Adesina

This platform is a mobile and web-based application designed to specifically enable users comprising of candidates, individuals, institutions, and organizations to access, share, request, confirm certificates and recover forgotten WAEC candidates’ examination numbers.

The WAEC Digital Certificate Platform is available online via www.waec.org.

Access a Certificate

WAEC Digital Certificate can be assessed on the DigiCert platform. Accessed certificates are stored on your profile and can be shared with anyone at any time.

Share Your Certificate

Recover Candidate Number

Candidates who cannot remember their examination number in the process of accessing are required to provide the candidate name they registered with when they took the WAEC examination. This will enable the platform to recover the examination number.

Fund Your Wallet

To successfully access, share, and confirm certificates through your wallet, there should be units available in the wallet. Each unit costs N250 and the number of units required or accrued amount payable is dependent on the service assessed. The wallet can be funded using credit/debit cards.

  4. Assess your certificate.
  5. Select the certificate you would like to share (for a non-confirmation request)
  6. Enter the recipient’s email address
  7. Click on the share button to share the certificate

  1. Click on the Request for Confirmation button (for a confirmation request, that is, to share the certificate with an institution or organization)
  2. Select the certificate you would like to share
  3. Enter the details of the institution- the name of the institution, email address, country, and institution location address
  4. Click on the share button to share the certificate

You can share your accessed WAEC certificate to your contacts as many times as possible, provided your wallet is funded, but the platform allows you to share accessed certificates per contact one at a time.
