What is ICAN?
ICAN stands for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. It was created in Nigeria through legislative enactment known as No.15 of 1965, to modulate the accountancy career in Nigeria.
ICAN also creates criteria which must be fulfilled by persons vying for the accountancy profession.
ICAN, in subsequent years, has accredited more than 30,000 accountants and purify the accountancy profession by setting the ethics which members must comply.
